Xbox Game Pass continues August additions with another indie gem

We're only a few days into August, but Xbox Game Pass brings us another excellent indie game today with the arrival of adventure game A Short Hike.

Xbox Game Pass started August off with Celeste, and now brings us our next offering: adventure game A Short Hike, which sees us soaring around the beautiful world of Hawk Peak Provincial Park.

A Short Hike joins Xbox Game Pass today

A Short Hike is, as the name suggests, a shorter game, yet it's still a wonderful experience. It's very laidback and leaves it entirely up to you to decide which paths you want to pursue. The park is full of other hikers ready to chat as you soar by, and there's plenty of secrets hidden around each bend in the path. If you're looking for a game which puts absolutely no pressure on you, A Short Hike is one to check out!

A Short Hike currently sits with an estimated completion time of around five to six hours. There have been several shorter (but no less excellent) indie games joining Game Pass recently — the wonderful narrative cooking game Venba launched into the service just the other day, and currently has an estimated completion time of one to two hours. Then there's narrative-driven game Dordogne, which undid any extra difficulty with replaying for achievements when it added a chapter select feature to help with missable achievements.
