Eight Ubisoft Xbox 360 servers given one-month extension

By Luke Albigés,

Ubisoft has delayed the upcoming server closures for eight Xbox 360 games by one month, meaning you now have until October 1st to grab any multiplayer achievements you need. [updated]

Update: A separate Ubisoft post also confirms the one-month extension will apply to the other five games originally planned for closure on September 1st — Driver: San Francisco, Far Cry 3, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, Rayman Legends, and Splinter Cell: Blacklist.

Updated story: Online services for the Xbox 360 versions of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Assassin's Creed: Revelations, and Assassin's Creed III were originally set to shut down tomorrow, September 1st, along with server closures for five other Xbox 360 titles. This additional month will postpone the closure date for these three games' online components until October 1st, so you've got a little extra time to work through everything, should you still need it. Single-player DLC will still work after this time, but multiplayer DLC will no longer be available due to the modes no longer being supported.
