Following Activision's sweep of DMCA strikes against potential Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 leaks last week, images of the game's logo have surfaced on promotional Monster Energy packaging — which Activision has taken the DMCA hammer to once again.

Monster Energy is no stranger to running XP giveaways for Call of Duty, so it comes as no surprise that this year's Call of Duty launch would arrive alongside promotional cans of the popular energy drink. As with other leaks, the images posted earlier this week, like the one shared by CharlieIntel, suggest that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is on the way, which again, has been given further credence by widespread DMCA strikes from Activision.

Energy drink seems to unleash the beast with Modern Warfare 3 leak

To add further legitimacy to the unannounced game's rumors, the Call of Duty account on social media posted, "Whew. Mondays. Anyone have an energy drink they can spare?" shortly before the images started disappearing.

Activision is yet to reveal 2023's Call of Duty, so no matter how legitimate the leaks may seem, we still recommend you take them with a pinch of salt until the official announcement. While many players are eagerly waiting for the next Call of Duty title, some players have decided to go back to old favorites. It seems that many servers were fixed recently, causing huge spikes in player activity in many Xbox 360 Call of Duty games.
