Celeste is a fast-paced platforming game that follows the story of Madeline, a girl attempting to outrun her demons by climbing a mountain. It joins Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass today for players on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and Xbox Cloud Gaming.

"Help Madeline survive her inner demons on her journey to the top of Celeste Mountain, in this super-tight, hand-crafted platformer from the creators of multiplayer classic TowerFall."

Celeste uses a simplified control scheme for jumping, air dashing, and climbing, but you'll need to master over 700 platforming screens as you try to reach the mountain's summit, where every death is a lesson; respawns are quick, however, so you'll be back to climbing instantly. It's a narrative-driven single-player adventure and currently holds a TrueAchievements user rating of 4/5 stars, while completion estimates suggest it takes between eight to ten hours to unlock all 30 Xbox achievements for 1,000 Gamerscore.

Celeste is the first of five already confirmed games coming to Game Pass in August, which includes the asymmetrical horror game, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.
