Dying Light 2 DLC, Bloody Ties, delayed on Xbox until November

By Tom West,

Dying Light 2's first paid story DLC, Bloody Ties, has been delayed, meaning we won't step foot in Carnage Hall until its launch on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One until November.

Techland has announced via a post on Twitter that Bloody Ties, the first story DLC for the open-world zombie-slayer, Dying Light 2: Stay Human, has been delayed "to allow the team extra time to polish and squash bugs." This is the second delay to hit the unreleased DLC, which was initially expected to launch in June but pushed into September. This latest delay now means the Bloody Ties will launch on November 10th for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.

Dying Light 2: Stay Human Bloody Ties trailer

Bloody Ties is a brand-new story adventure for Dying Light 2, offering us the chance to partake in the glories that The Carnage Hall has to offer, such as new challenges, quests, weapon types and characters. The hall is an old opera theatre, and Techland says it's the "epicentre of death, wealth, and absolute splendour." Looking at the trailer above, we'll probably end up taking part in gladiatorial-esque games, which would fit well with the modern Dark Ages theme the game follows.

If you're in the mood for more Dying Light 2 action, the latest free Chapter, A Huntress and the Hag, offers a new mutation to hunt, rewards to collect, and quests to complete. Additionally, while not part of the Dying Light series, this weekend's Free Play Days is offering players with an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or Xbox Live Gold membership a chance to play Techland's first zombie game, Dead Island.

What do you think of this news? Are you disappointed that we have to wait a little longer, or would you rather wait until the team is ready? Drop a comment below and let us know!
