EA Sports UFC 2 servers closing in 2023

Another day, another legacy sports title bites the dust. EA has announced that servers for EA Sports UFC 2 will close early next year, discontinuing several achievements in the process.

As confirmed on EA's online services page, servers for EA Sports UFC 2 are set to close on February 2nd, 2023. From what were can tell, 11 online achievements will be discontinued once the server shutdown hits.

EA Sports UFC 2 has already been delisted from the Xbox store, so if you want to complete this one and you don't own it digitally, you will need to pick up a physical copy of the game. Estimates suggest it will take between 40 and 50 hours to unlock all 33 EA Sports UFC 2 achievements, though don't expect it to be smooth sailing — the MMA sim looks like it has numerous achievements with tough requirements.

If you still need to complete this one, it might be worth setting up or joining an EA Sports UFC 2 Gaming Session to work through some of the online achievements with other TrueAchievements users.
