Game Pass set to lose two legacy EA Sports titles

By Sean Carey,

Another two legacy EA Sports titles are on the chopping block for the Game Pass and EA Play libraries. Both Madden NFL 21 and NHL 21 are set to leave Xbox Game Pass and EA Play soon.

Madden NFL 21 and NHL 21 will soon leave EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, according to EA's online service page, Madden NFL 21 will drop out of both services on February 28th while NHL 21 will leave on April 30th.

NHL 21 leaving Game Pass

According to estimates, it will take around ten hours to unlock all 28 Madden NFL 21 achievements, which is good, considering you don't have too long left. There is, however, also a Madden NFL 21 Xbox One stack, so you may also want to get that one done before the 28th. If you're going for both, we recommend doing the Xbox One stack first, as you can auto-pop some achievements in the Series X|S version. For more on this, check out the Madden NFL 21 walkthrough.

As for NHL 21, the game has six discontinued achievements, so unless you've already got those, you won't be able to earn the full 1,000G here.

While one Madden NFL game leaves Game Pass, another joins the service — Madden NFL 23 is one of several games coming to Game Pass this month.

Will you be going for the completion in either of these two games? Let us know!

Big thanks to GTAmissions1 for the heads-up!
