Import Your Xbox Live Friends List into TrueAchievements

By Dave Horobin,
When the Xbox One released back in November 2013, Xbox Live also got a bit of an upgrade. One of the biggest changes at that time was the increase in the number of Xbox Live friends you could have on your Gamertag, increasing the number from a large but manageable 100 to a whopping 1,000.

For all you popular people out there, we added the Friend Import feature in 2015, making it quick and easy for you to see which of your Xbox Live friends are already registered on TA and which ones aren't. Most importantly, it gives you a simple way of adding them to your TA friends list.

How To Import Your Xbox Live Friends into TrueAchievements

  • Click the My Friends link in the Social & Content section of the Gamer Menu
  • Click the Import Friends tab
  • Click the Import Xbox Live Friends button
Once you've clicked the Import Xbox Live Friends button, the page will update after a brief pause and list all of your Xbox Live friends. All of your Xbox Live friends that have already registered on TrueAchievements will be shown first, with your non-registered friends shown below them.

Please note, in order for us to import your Xbox Live friends list, you'll need to make your friends list publicly visible. If the page doesn't update to show your Xbox Live friends list after a few seconds, you can check your Xbox Live privacy settings on the Xbox.com account settings page.

You can select multiple gamers from the list of Xbox Live friends that have already registered on TrueAchievements. Once you have selected all of the gamers to whom you want to send a friend request, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Send friend requests button. Each gamer will then receive a PM on TrueAchievements giving them the option to accept or decline your friend request.

Xbox Live Friends Not Registered on TrueAchievements

In the registered column of the list, you can invite your Xbox Live friends that aren't registered on TrueAchievements by clicking the Invite by email button. Once clicked, a text box will be displayed. Type in the gamer's email address and then press return to send an invite. The gamer will then receive an emailed invitation to register for an account on TrueAchievements. The link will also include your Gamer ID, which means we'll add them to the total for your site referral badge, and they'll also have a friend request from you waiting in their inbox.
