Keep Up With TrueAchievements on the Google News App By Sam Quirke, 25 Oct 2018 FollowtopicsSite HelpSite FeatureSam Quirke If you want to keep up with the latest Xbox news and achievement reveals, you can now add TrueAchievements to your favourite news sources in the Google News app available on Apple and Android devices. Here's how. What Is Google News?Google News is a smart news aggregator that can learn which topics and sources you want in your daily news roundup. It can give you a daily briefing and send notifications when stories break. Any topic in the world is represented, and you can either choose to add Topics (such as Xbox) or Sources (such as TrueAchievements) to your favourites. You will need to sign in to a Google account in order to make use of the app. Download the app from Google Play for Android or the iTunes Store. How Do I Add TrueAchievements As A Source?First off, you need to make sure your Preferred language & region is set to English | United States in the Settings, which can be found by clicking on your Google Account icon in the top right corner. (We're working on making sure our sites appear regardless of your region).Once you have done so, head to the Favourites tab and hit the big Plus icon in the bottom corner. On an Apple device, you'll need to click the little plus icon in the corner of the Sources box. Now hit the search icon in the top left and type TrueAchievements, and you should see our News Source icon appear. Hit the star button to add us to your favourites — if the star is blue, that means you've added us. Now our stories should appear in your "For You" queue, and you can also head to your "Favourites" tab and click on the TrueAchievements icon to head directly to our latest stories.Once you have added our sites as a Favourite you can set your Preferred language & region back to whatever is most appropriate to you — we should still appear in your Favourites. How Do I Control What News Stories I See?Because Google News is adapting to your tastes you may see a whole bunch of sources and topics beyond the world of gaming when you start off. You can always hit the three dots next to any news article you see in your queue and select to Hide Stories from that source forever, or just give the topic a thumbs down with the "Fewer stories like this" button (Android only). Google will work out what you're in to in no time.On Android you can also set up a home page link to the TrueAchievements Google News page, share us as a source to other Google users or enable push notifications for our channel specifically. On Apple, you can add TrueAchievements directly to Siri. Go to the TrueAchievements page from your Favourites tab and hit the three dots in the top right corner to find these settings. We hope you enjoy this new way to engage with us. We're excited to keep sharing the latest and greatest Xbox content with you!Site FeatureSite Help Written by Sam QuirkeSam has been a Newshound since 2016.
