Lemnis Gate server closure and delisting announced

By Sean Carey,

Developer Ratloop Games and publisher Frontier Foundry have announced that time-bending first-person shooter Lemnis Gate will soon be delisted from the Xbox store before the game shuts down in July.

In a statement posted on Steam, Ratloop and Frontier announced that Lemnis Gate, which only launched back in September 2021, will be delisted from all platforms on April 11th before servers for the FPS close on July 11th.

Lemnis Gate servers to close on July 11th

"We want to thank you all for your support with Lemnis Gate, joining us for many incredible rounds in the loop," the statement reads. "We've truly loved seeing your passion for the game, the mind-bending strategies you created and how you embraced this innovative twist on the FPS genre.

"Lemnis Gate has been an ambitious project that we are privileged to have brought to life together, so it's with sadness that we share this news today.

"From April 11th, 2023, Lemnis Gate will be removed from sale on all platforms. However, we will be keeping the multiplayer servers online so you can all continue to enter the loop until July 11th, 2023, at which point they will be closed. Console players will still be able to access local multiplayer and training modes, however PC players will be unable to play beyond that point."

The console version of Lemnis Gate has 31 achievements, and all of them have been flagged as online only. However, getting some of these offline may be possible after the server closure hits, as you will still have access to local multiplayer and training modes. As for the Windows stack of Lemnis Gate, it sounds like the game will be completely unplayable after July 11th, so if you want the completion, you'll need to get cracking as some require a fair amount of grinding. It's worth noting here that achievement progress may not transfer correctly between versions and can end up permanently locking some achievements, so be careful.

Will you be going for the completion in Lemnis Gate? Sad to see this one go? Let us know your thoughts down in the comments.

Thanks to everyone who sent this in as a news tip!
