Popular Xbox games — July 2, 2023

Our latest Gameplay Chart of popular Xbox games sees Sea of Thieves sail up for a big jump up the chart, with new Xbox Game Pass additions popping up further down.

It's usual for the top five and sometimes the top ten to refuse to budge, but this week sees almost all of the top 15 hanging onto their positions from last week. Breaking up this wave is Sea of Thieves, which has jumped up from 24th to 15th — the game's latest adventure is still live for a few more days, although it's not good news for all players, as Rare recently sent over 15,000 cheaters to the brig. We see more titles swapping positions and shifting up and down as we progress through the top 20, but the next big change comes at 28th, where Gears of War: Ultimate Edition makes its debut appearance after being included (along with Sea of Thieves) in the latest Xbox Game Pass Weekly Quests. Two Xbox Game Pass additions make their first appearance in the top 40, with F.I.S.T: Forged in Shadow Torch at 37th and Bramble: The Mountain King at 38th. Lastly, Gang Beasts has just managed to re-join the chart at 40th; it sits on our list of both the easiest and fastest Xbox Game Pass completions and the easiest and fastest PC Game Pass completions.

Just today, Arcade Paradise joins Xbox Game Pass, while more games coming to Game Pass follow later in the month, including Exoprimal. Could any of these appear on next week's chart?
