Popular Xbox games — June 18, 2023

By Heidi Nicholas,

In our latest Gameplay Chart of popular Xbox games, Diablo IV holds its own in the top five while Destiny 2 falls out of the top ten and older games re-join the chart further down.

GTA V has managed to climb back to fourth, while Diablo IV holds steady at fifth and FIFA 23 drops out of the top five to sixth. Overwatch 2 has climbed back up three spaces into tenth, most likely due to the start of Season 5. There's not too much movement in the chart after that until we get to 25th, where Tell Me Why re-joins the chart — it's currently free throughout June in honor of Pride Month, and features in the latest Xbox Game Pass weekly quests. Car Mechanic Simulator 2021, which saw a surge in players after joining Game Pass, has now dropped ten places to 30th. Cyberpunk 2077, meanwhile, is another reappearance in the chart, showing up at 32nd — its major DLC Phantom Liberty got a September release date during the Xbox Games Showcase, so we might see this one resurface later in the year too. Then there's Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, which has fallen from 32nd to 37th, just above Fallout 4, which re-joins the chart at 38th. Star Wars Battlefront II sits below at 39th, with Elden Ring just holding on at 40th.

Looking ahead, we have big releases like Crash Team Rumble and Aliens: Dark Descent to look forward to, as well as Game Pass additions later in the month, such as The Bookwalker: Thief of Tales. Could any of these appear on next week's chart? Let us know your thoughts down in the comments.
