Share Your Xbox Gaming Progress With TrueAchievements Twitter Integration

For part three of our site help feature, we're going to show you how to use our Twitter integration to auto-post achievement wins, started games, completed games and a host of other updates to your Twitter account.

How to Setup TrueAchievements Twitter Integration

  • Click the Social Settings link in the My Account section of the Gamer Menu
  • Click the Twitter Settings tab
  • Click the Authorize button

  • Enter your Twitter Username or Email and Password and click the Authorize app button

  • Your TrueAchievements and Twitter accounts are now linked together

Twitter Integration Options

Once your TrueAchievements and Twitter accounts are linked together, you'll have a range of options available that you can use to change which updates are posted to your Twitter account and personalise your TA profile page.

Twitter Integration

  • Twitter Username: Automatically completed once your account is linked
  • Show X tweets on my homepage: Select from 0 to 10 from the dropdown and we'll display that many of your recent tweets on your homepage.

  • Show 'Follow Me' link on my homepage: Tick for yes or leave blank for no

  • Tweet site status changes: Tick for yes or leave blank for no
  • Tweet upon community event sign-up: Tick for yes or leave blank for no
  • Tweet achievement wins: Tick for yes or leave blank for no
  • Only Tweet once per day: Tick for yes or leave blank for no
  • Tweet blog posts: Tick for yes or leave blank for no
  • Tweet started games: Tick for yes or leave blank for no
  • Tweet completed games: Tick for yes or leave blank for no
  • Tweet milestones: Tick for yes or leave blank for no
  • Click the Save button once you are happy with the options
  • Click the Test post button and we'll send a test tweet to make sure everything is working correctly

An Example of an Automated Tweet

We've worked hard over the past year or so to switch our automated tweets from boring text links to Twitter cards, which you can see an example of below.
