Earlier this month, a new update for Stranded Deep introduced a bug that would allow players to instantly unlock nearly all Stranded Deep achievements, making the survival game a breeze to complete. Now Beam Team Games has said it is aware of the issue and is looking at rolling out a fix soon.

Soon after the update rolled out, players began noticing that upon joining a co-op game with another player who had already unlocked all of the Stranded Deep achievements, the game's entire achievement list (bar one 'tutorial' achievement) would instantly unlock, giving them a shiny new completion for no effort.

Of course, this method has spread like wildfire across our forums and the internet, but now Beam Team Games says it will be patching it out. After a PlayStation user reported the "issue" on the Stranded Deep forums, a Beam Team developer said, "The team are aware of this issue and have found the cause of it. They’re currently working [to] resolve this issue as soon as possible."

In a further reply, they added: "This issue regarding the platinum will be addressed in the interest of fairness for other players as well as ensuring the trophies are unlocked correctly and as intended on the PlayStation console." Of course, there is no mention of Xbox and achievements here, but we can likely expect that whatever fix Beam Team has coming to PlayStation will also make its way to Xbox.

Players have reported that this method only works for the console version of the game and not with Stranded Deep (Windows).

Stranded Deep is available with Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass, and technically, it should be added to our Game Pass easy achievements article.
