Site Feature: Host transfer for Gaming Sessions By Rich Stone, 02 Mar 2022 FollowtopicsCommunity NewsSite FeatureRich Stone Our month of new site features continues with a highly upvoted suggestion from the Site Wishlist forum.We've hosted over 700,000 Xbox gaming sessions on the site, and session hosts will know that the gaming session system has not previously worked well if the host can no longer make the session.We've now developed a Host Replacement system for those times when something unavoidable crops up and you can no longer make the session.Requesting a new session hostIf you can no longer host your session, go to the session page and click on the I can no longer host this session button.A box will appear where you can type the reason you can't make it, and a PM will then be sent to all the other gamers in the session, asking them if they are able to host the session in your place.If you are willing to take over the session, click on the session link and click on Take over as host. The original host will be then be notified, and you will become the new host.The original host can then safely leave the session.All of these events are automatically recorded in the Gaming Session thread.Join us tomorrow for the next new feature!Site FeatureCommunity News Written by Rich StoneYo!
