Hey guys! Is it maybe possible to unlock the achievements with console commands by using the guide on an unpatched Xbox One disc version of Subnautica on an Xbox One when not connected to the Internet?
No it's not. I just tried this, and the original retail version of the game doesn't appear to have the console available by pressing the shoulder buttons.

I did this on Series X with the game pass version around a month ago, and it worked fine. I can't say I tried the xcloud version, but it stands to reason that's the Series S/X version of the game I used, as they use modified Series X hardware for XCloud anyway.

Think using console commands disables them now. I tried using them for unlimited O2, but when I got to Degasi base in the reef, or whatever the area with the purple mushrooms is called, I didn't pop the one for finding it.

I was able to make it work with a retail disc version and the current most up to date online version.
    Here is what I did:
    1. Followed the guide with the most recent version that still has the console commands enabled.
    2. Make the save right before you leave in the rocket.
    3. Uninstall the up to date online version and then go into offline mode and install the disc version.
    4. Load up the disc version and then load up the save you made in the up to date version.
    5. Make a new save with the disc version and then go back online, achievements should start to pop now. For me it was 15/17.
    6. You will be forced to update to the latest version again if you want to continue playing which I did and then reloaded the same save I made with the disc version and finished the game by going on the rocket and getting the last two achievements.

Thanks! This worked for me, though for #5, as soon as I went online, the game quit with no achievements popped and I had to upgrade. When I restarted the game in its updated state, 14/17 achievements unlocked automatically. I was missing:

SubnauticaSecret AchievementThe Secret Achievement achievement in Subnautica worth 207 pointsContinue playing to unlock this secret achievement

I was playing off an old Save I had made when the game was on Game Pass, so maybe that's why I only had 14/17.

Once I did #6, Leave Only Time Capsules and Go Among the Stars unlocked. I went into space, and then the game crashed.

I will edit this post if I can get Ancient Technologies to unlock.

Edit: I got Ancient Technologies to unlock by following this console command video, then repeating ZFighterSon's instructions. I didn't see the notification pop up, but I saw 17/17 as soon as I went online as in direction #5.

Maybe I accidentally skipped that part of the walkthrough when I played many months ago. Hard to say.

(I didn't do the typed in DevConsole commands in the video because I didn't remember that LB+RB+A were supposed to be pushed simultaneously. But "unlock all" blueprints and "fixleaks" don't really have bearing on this achievement.)

    Anyway, thanks again!

Edit 2: FYI, I am playing on XSX. So when I went online, I actually did an Upgrade, not just an Update.

FYI, this trick doesn't quite work with the PS4 disc. However, you can still use the PS4 disc version to clean the "used dev console" flag. So basically:

    1. Use the current version 1.21. Play with the dev console until you're about to unlock a trophy. Save and quit.
    2. Load the save with the 1.00 disc version. Save and quit.
    3. Load the save with the current 1.21. Complete the requirements of the trophy. The trophy should unlock.

Since many trophies have to be done one at time (like visiting locations via teleport), this is a bit tedious. I would only recommend it if the player has two machines and a digital license. One machine can have the 1.21 version and the other use the disc (with automatic updates turned off). Use cloud saves to shuttle saves back and forth. You still have to manually cancel the update every time the 1.00 version starts up.

I've posted more details on a PSNProfiles forum.
