Rockstar hasn't made a new game (meaning one that isn't a remaster) since Red Dead 2 in 2019. In the past Rockstar would make at least one quality game a year.
Now before someone says "but making games is hard and expensive you can't say a developer is lazy ):" you should remember that they have 2000 employees and MULTIPLE offices. Not to mention that they love to buy up smaller dev teams and absorb them into Rockstar, have the economic arm of Take-Two and NINE different Rockstar studios. So sorry if I say that it seems a bit lazy compared to what they're releasing.
It sounds to me like your issue is more with where they are deciding to focus their effort (GTA Online and GTA6) rather than the amount of effort they are putting in, but I don’t want to put words in your mouth.
My point is to critique the product, not the people. Sometimes people work extremely hard to make something that ends up bad, or disappointing. Or maybe they didn’t work very hard, I don’t know and won’t presume to know.
I just comment on the product, not the people. No reason to be mean or insulting about it, it’s just video games.
