Site Feature: Walkthrough improvements

By Rich Stone,
We have a lot of Xbox game walkthroughs on the site, and thanks to our awesome community and the hard work of the TrueAchievements Walkthroughs team, more are getting added every week.

Today, we are adding some extra features to make using our walkthroughs as easy as possible.

Unlocked achievement indicators

The first addition to the walkthroughs is that we now show an indicator on the Walkthrough Achievements panel on the right of every page of the walkthrough (or below on mobile devices). This makes it quick and easy to jump directly to the achievements you haven't won yet by clicking on them.

We've also done a similar thing on the Pages In This Walkthrough panel, which is shown on every page of the walkthrough apart from the summary. A tick means you've unlocked all of the achievements on that page of the walkthrough — a warning sign means you still have some to unlock.

Walkthrough notes

We also added a way for you to make private notes on any walkthrough. There's a new note indicator in the headers of all pages, and clicking it will pop up a box for you to type your notes in.

These notes will then display in the sidebar on every page of the walkthrough.

These site improvement ideas came from the TrueAchievements Discord server, so thank you to those that suggested them there.

Yo! Rich here - I was the one that created TrueAchievements back in 2008 as I felt the Xbox Gamerscore system could be improved. The site has evolved massively since then and it's now the biggest and best Xbox community on the planet! Racing games and open world shooters are my thing, but I'll give most genres a go. Except RPGs - those things are evil.
