Call of Duty Xbox 360 games such as Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops II, as well as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Call of Duty: World at War, have seen thousands of players return after matchmaking servers were recently updated.
The lobbies for older Call of Duty games are reviving and teeming with players. While a number of people are still encountering issues or hackers, many are reporting seeing thousands of players online, with lobbies looking healthier and players able to find matches more quickly.

CharlieIntel recently noticed that Xbox 360 CoD games were seeing more active lobbies, and take a look through the Call of Duty subreddit and you'll see CoD fans rejoicing at returning to beloved older titles.

It seems only Xbox has seen this matchmaking fix — which some note has come alongside Microsoft's pending acquisition of Activision Blizzard — with PC and PlayStation remaining as before.

We've noticed a jump in players too — keep an eye out for the latest TrueAchievements Gameplay Chart of popular Xbox games to see older CoD titles surging up the chart.
