Xbox and Bethesda attending Gamescom just before Starfield launches

By Tom West,

You might have a chance to get some hands-on time with Starfield ahead of its launch as Xbox and Bethesda will be attending Gamescom in August.

If you're heading to Gamescom this year and looking forward to Bethesda's upcoming space epic, Starfield, you might have a chance to explore the universe a little earlier. Xbox and Bethesda will be on the show floor at Gamescom in August.

Xbox and Bethesda will be attending Gamescom 2023

The Gamescom Twitter account has announced that Xbox and Bethesda will be attending this year's convention, and while nothing has been said about the games that will be shown, there is a good chance we'll see Starfield make an appearance. Gamescom will be running between August 23 and August 27, just over a week before Starfield launches on September 6, and with the space-bound RPG looking to be one of Microsoft's flagship games of 2023, we would be surprised to learn that hands-on time with Starfield wasn't a possibility.

Bethesda recently cleared up the confusion surrounding Starfield's perceived digital-only release, confirming that the standard edition of the game will be available physically — you'll be able to enjoy the game's "zen-like" planet surveying via a game disc, after all.
